°neo by five°degrees demonstrates new rule engine integration at FinovateEurope 2023.

On  the 14th of March °neo by five°degrees took the stage in London at FinovateEurope 2023, the first company to demo their platform at the 2023 event.

FinovateEurope is a conference and exhibition dedicated to financial and banking technology innovations for the European financial market. The event took place on the 14th and 15th of March and presented the industry's most innovative fintech solutions to more than 1,000 senior attendees who gather insights from over 100 insightful speakers and enjoy 35+ product demos.

About °neo being selected to demo at this year's event Greg Palmer, VP of Strategy at Finovate said: “At Finovate, demos are very much the heart of our events. That is because we believe in showing (not just telling) our audiences what leading fintech looks like so they can see it first-hand. °neo by five°degrees solves real-world problems in banking using technology, making it significantly easier for the people who use core banking systems to configure, manage, adapt, and draw insights from data. I’m sure our audience will take a lot away from their demo, and we’re pleased to have them on stage in London!”

Maurits van Schooneveld, Head of Business Development and Fridrik Reynisson, Chief Architect °neo introduced the Finovate audience to °neo's new feature; the business rule engine. This enhancement allows financial institutions to quickly set up or configure business rules.

Fridrik Reynisson: “We've developed this cool feature where we integrated a rule engine into our platform, making it easy for you to define a business rule and set up loan customizations."

During the demo they presented a use case of an SME lender who works with different broker channels, a huge UK market worth over 45 billion GBP a year. Using the rule engine, the lender quickly configured their fee structures by setting up different fees on different loans, allowing them to work with multiple brokers in minutes.
