five°degrees had the fantastic opportunity to sit down with FF News during our participation in Sibos in Toronto this September. Sibos, an esteemed annual banking and financial conference, attracts financial professionals from across the globe to engage in critical discussions within the financial industry.
During this event, FF News conducted an insightful interview with our Head of Business Development, Maurits van Schooneveld. “In May, we were formally acquired by Topicus. What this means for us is that we are even better positioned to support our clients. We focus on core banking solutions, but Topicus has a lot of other banking solutions in their solution suite. You could almost call it an internal ecosystem. We want to be able to support our clients with different market solutions and position ourselves as a sort of one-stop shop for banks in all their transformation initiatives.”
“What we see now is that there is a big transition going from in-house built legacy solutions towards standardized flexible cloud solutions, and we try to ride that wave by supporting banks in that whole digital transition. Not only by providing them the software, but also by providing implementation services and education/training that is needed to make use of these software solutions.”
