Five Degrees takes your privacy very seriously and treats all your personal information with great care, and assures you that your personal data will only be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy sets out how Five Degrees uses and protects any information that you provide Five Degrees when you use the website of Five Degrees (“https://www.fivedegrees.com”) and Five Degrees services. In short, we use your personal data to offer demos, to get in touch with you, to inform you about our services and to be able to make personal offers. Who is Five Degrees?
Five Degrees is a digital banking technology provider with offices in The Netherlands, Iceland and Portugal. Five Degrees is located at Spaklerweg 52, 1114 AE Amsterdam and is registered at the Chamber of Commerce under company number 32149303. Five Degrees is responsible for the manner in which your personal data is being collected, used and stored.

What We Collect

Demo
In order to arrange a demo, we ask you to provide us with the following information:

  • Name, company and job title.
  • Contact information including email address and phone number.
  • Country.

Contact form
The website lets you contact Five Degrees using a contact form. In this contact form we ask you to provide us with the following information:
  • Name, company and job title;
  • Email address;
  • Country;
  • Message;
  • Non obligational information: phone number, how you heard about us and message subject.
Careers
Through the Website, you can apply for a specific vacancy. When you apply, you will be asked to provide your e-mail address.

Newsletter
You can sign up for newsletters sent by Five Degrees. If you have signed up for the newsletter, Five Degrees will use the e-mail address you provided for sending the newsletter. If you no longer wish to receive newsletters, you can use the unsubscribe option included in each newsletter.

Personal offers
On the basis of the Information collected by Five Degrees, a profile is built. On the basis of this profile, Five Degrees tries to tailor its offers to you as well as possible. These offers can be brought to your attention by e-mail messages or through third-party websites.

For this we use, among other things:

Five Degrees makes use of Google Analytics in order to collect statistics about the use and visits of the Website. With these analytical cookies a permanent cookie is saved on your Devices to register your use of the Website. Google analyzes this data about the Website and provides Five Degrees with the results. This way, Five Degrees obtains insight into the traffic of the Website and the way in which the Website is used. Based on this information Five Degrees is able to make adjustments to the Website or its services. Five Degrees uses re-targeting / re-marketing technologies on the Website. The purpose of these technologies is to be able to offer you interesting and customized offers. In order to realize this, Five Degrees places cookies on your Device that make it possible to follow your surfing behaviour on the Website and to build a profile of your surfing behaviour. Based on this profile, Five Degrees can send you tailor-made advertisements and show you these advertisements on third-party websites.

Social plug ins
The Website provides access to various social media, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. With the help of these so-called social plug ins you can share information on the website with others or recommend it. When you visit a web page showing the social plug ins of these social media, third party cookies are places on your Devices. These cookies collect information about your browser and the websites you have visited with your IP address.

Facebook Website Custom Audiences
Using Website Custom Audiences from Facebook, Five Degrees can use data from the Website to show you relevant advertisements on Facebook. Via a pixel integrated in the Five Degrees website, general information about your browser session, including a possible Facebook cookie and the web page you visit, is sent to Facebook. Based on this data, Facebook users can be placed in a specific Custom Audience and can be served tailor-made advertisements.

To the use of the cookies placed on the Website through social plug ins, further conditions of third parties apply. Five Degrees accepts no responsibility and liability for these third-party conditions. Five Degrees refers you to the conditions of the relevant parties.

Delete cookies
The consent you have given to Five Degrees for placing and reading cookies can be revoked at any time in your browser. This way, your browser will not accept cookies and / or you can remove all cookies already placed in your browser. Please note that removing cookies may result in certain parts of the Websites not working (properly).

Links to other websites
The Website may contain hyperlinks which take you to the website or application of a third party, such as social media sites. Five Degrees has no authority over those third party services and/or websites. For the use of those services and/or websites of third parties a separate privacy statement might be applicable. This Privacy Policy is exclusively applicable to personal data that is obtained through the Website. Five Degrees does not accept any responsibility or liability for the (use and/or content of the) services and/or websites of third parties.

Storage term
Five Degrees will store your personal data as long as necessary to perform the purposes of processing as stated in this statement.

Controlling your personal information
Under the privacy legislation, you have a number of rights as a data subject. This chapter of the Privacy Policy states these rights and how you can invoke these rights. Your requests can be sent to risk@fivedegrees.com.

Reaction
Five Degrees will try to respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any case, within four (4) weeks. If Five Degrees needs more time, Five Degrees will inform you of this. In no case Five Degrees will respond to you later than two months.

In order to ensure that the information you request is actually yours, we may ask you to send a valid proof of identity. We will ask you to black mark your passport photo and to make the social security number (in Dutch: BSN nummer) shown on your identification card, unreadable.

If you wish to have information corrected, supplemented, removed or protected on the basis of the overview, you can send a new request to the above-mentioned address. Five Degrees will also respond to this request within four (4) weeks. If Five Degrees decides not to execute your request, Five Degrees will indicate why it will not do so.

The possibility exists that Five Degrees rejects a request from you, for example because your request is unfounded or excessive or because Five Degrees (legally) cannot or does not have to comply with your request. Five Degrees will also notify you of a rejection.

Five Degrees informs you that you can, in case Five Degrees rejects your request, file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Right of access
You have the right to submit a request to find out whether Five Degrees processes personal data relating to you. If this is the case, Five Degrees will provide you with a copy of the personal data collected in accordance with the law.

Right to rectification
You have the right to submit a request for rectification of inaccurate personal data. If possible, you also have the right to provide additional personal data in order to complete the collection of your personal data.

Right to be forgotten
You have the right to request the deletion of personal data relating to you (the right to be forgotten). If your request is granted, Five Degrees will delete the relevant personal data.

Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to file a request to processing of your personal data. This means that, if the request is granted, Five Degrees will not process your personal data during the term of restriction, unless this is permitted based on legislation.

Right to object
You have the right to, under certain circumstances, object to the processing of your personal data, for example if Five Degrees processes your personal data based on legitimate interest. If you object, Five Degrees will weigh your privacy interest against the business interest of Five Degrees. Should your interest override the interest of Five Degrees, Five Degrees will no longer process your personal data.

Right to data portability
You have the right to request for data portability. Five Degrees will make the data subject to this right available to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format in order for you to transfer it to a third party.

May this privacy statement be amended?
This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time. The amendments will be published on the website of Five Degrees. In case, any material change be executed, you will be informed of such change.

Complaints or questions?
In case you have any complaints or questions with regard to this Privacy Policy and the manner on which Five Degrees processes your personal data, you have the right to report this at risk@fivedegrees.com.

In case you and Five Degrees are not able to resolve your complaint(s) with regard to the aforementioned data processing, you are also have the right to file a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (in Dutch: “Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens”).
