what we do.

five°degrees is a FinTech, with 150+ employees based in Amsterdam, Lisbon, Reykjavik, and Serbia. Our mission is to bridge the gap between the old and the new world for core banking systems. We achieve this by offering a cloud-native core banking platform to banks and financial services.

Our core product is called °neo. We started working on it two years ago with design thinking at its core. Before we wrote a single line of code we spoke to actual users, understood their problems, and came up with genuinely innovative ways to make their working lives better. Then we validated those solutions, and finally, we started building. 

your role.

As a Business Development Representative, you find new opportunities and are the first point of contact for prospects. This means you need the confidence to get on the phone and talk to people to qualify leads and do proper handovers to the Sales team. In addition to phone calls, you contact prospects through emails, LinkedIn and other creative initiatives. You are driven to not just sell a platform but to help to find the best solutions for our clients.

your responsibilities.


  • Providing a consultative solutions sales process to prospects, including cold calling.
  • Working closely with sales and marketing.
  • Prospects research and logging information in our CRM system.
  • Responsible for top-of-funnel (ToF) lead generation and lead management.
  • Responsible for delivering highly qualified prospect meetings to regional sales managers and driving up the conversion rate of MQL to SQL to Qualified Opportunity.
  • Refining five degrees pitch and slide deck.

  • Establish relationships with the right decision-makers and influencers within enterprise accounts, identify their needs and challenges and set up appointments. 

Lead Generation responsibilities including,

  • Engage and excite new business prospects by effective use of online/digital tools.
  • Working closely with Sales and Marketing to generate new lead strategies.
  • Outbound & inbound lead generation activities.
  • Managing lead nurture programs as it relates to ToF and qualified leads for (email) marketing automation.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 0-3 years of experience in enterprise software sales as Sales Development Representative/Business Development Representative.
  • Excellent English skills - verbal and written. It's a plus if you are fluent in another language as well.
  • Social, helpful and loves teamwork and building relations.
  • Competitive by nature and have a strong sense of urgency for reaching your goals.
  • Great organizational skills, proactive and on top of things.
