Robo advice has sparked the imagination of many in the financial services sector. But for Munnypot.com, a disruptor start-up active in the UK, the aim was to turn theory into practice. With a fresh business model, modern technology, and the goal of bringing financial advice to a much wider consumer base, we were tasked with helping them achieve their ambitions. Our Matrix platform has been one of the key foundation stones, helping make Munnypot’s financial advice affordable and accessible to all.

Brand New Day

Brand New Day is a Dutch challenger focused on disrupting the pension business in the Netherlands. In 2015, the company took the decision to develop an online pension bank for private individuals. Matrix accounts is the core component of Brand New Day Bank’s IT infrastructure and has supported the roll-out of its savings business, enabling the company to build a new digital bank from scratch in just five months.

LeasePlan Bank offers savings accounts and term deposits for 150,000 customers in the Netherlands, and recently expanded into the German market. They wanted to rebuild their digital savings bank, and turned to us to replace the legacy banking platform. Running Matrix mid, we helped the bank increase efficiency and substantially reduce operating costs.

Start-up bank Knab has made a significant impact on the Dutch banking scene running a digital banking platform powered by our Matrix mid-office system. The bank wanted to ensure it kept overheads low, was recognized in the market for its first-class customer service, and could provide a SME with a fully-operational account within hours. Today, with over 125,000 satisfied customers, it is well on its way to achieving its goals.

As the oldest independent bank in the Netherlands, Van Lanschot turned to five°degrees to help it take its banking systems digital. The bank now uses our Matrix platform for online and offline onboarding, online customer self-service processes, and to provide a 360-degree customer view. This has improved the customer experience, reduced costs, and provided a flexible, future-proof platform on which the bank can build and expand. 

GarantiBank International is a mid-sized European bank with offices in the Netherlands and Germany, offering savings products and term deposits. The bank wanted to upgrade to a digital savings bank. We installed Matrix mid to run the new savings bank, and connected the platform to a custom-built customer portal, reducing implementation time dramatically.

Serving around 80,000 customers with a full range of banking products on five Caribbean islands, Aruba bank wanted to become the most modern bank in the region by replacing legacy systems and manual processes using Matrix. Customers benefit from automated onboarding and self-service capabilities, while employees now have a full 360-degree view of the customer, financial figures, related documents, and customer-related activities and workflows. The result is significantly improved customer performance and a reduced total cost of ownership.

Belgian bank Argenta wanted to create a digital savings and mortgage bank for the Dutch market. Running both our Matrix mid and Matrix accounts products, Argenta was able to orchestrate savings, term deposits, mortgages and insurance products, and had their digital proposition up and running within one year. 

Prospery is a new disruptive European digital wealth management proposition to offer customers a total online wealth management package. We were tasked with helping ABN AMRO’s digital proposition provide customers in Germany with a comprehensive view of their current and potential assets, as well as remote personal investment coaching. Using Matrix mid, Prospery now enjoys open banking, with our solution bringing together all client-related information.
